First gracing the Amphitheatre stage last year, IKSRE returns alongside video artist Rhys Newling, the man behind tours for Rufus du Sol, Hiatus Kaiyote, Chase and Status, and Rising Festivals. In a special performance curated for Peninsula Hot Springs, Rhys will creative illustrate IKSRE’S beautiful ambient pop music, bringing it to life with a new dimension on screen.

IKSRE

IKSRE - I Keep Seeing Rainbows Everywhere - is the solo moniker of Naarm/Melbourne-based multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, producer and sound healer Phoebe Dubar. She combines ethereal vocals with lush strings, synths and sound healing instruments with field recordings, to create a unique, ambient pop sound.

IKSRE has released five albums, collaborating with labels like Constellation Tatsu, Hush Hush Records, and Lo Recordings. Her work has gained acclaim from various blogs and radio stations, including BBC Radio 6, KEXP, and triple j. She has also collaborated with international artists on projects for labels like Ambientologist and Polar Seas Records. Notable performances include events with Drew Barrymore and Melbourne Music Week, along with many smaller venues across Victoria and New South Wales. IKSRE also worked with bestselling author and environmental activist Sarah Wilson on a spoken word piece titled 'This Very Moment.'

Rhys Newling

Rhys Newling is a Melbourne-based lighting designer and video artist who has gained prominence in recent years through his innovative and captivating visual experiences, making a significant impact on audiences both nationally and internationally.

In 2024, Rhys toured extensively with renowned artists such as Chase and Status, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Cub Sport, showcasing his exceptional talent. Rhys's impressive portfolio also includes collaborations with other notable artists like Sampa the Great, Bonobo and Rufus du Sol. His visually compelling work has graced renowned festivals, including Rising Festival, The Australian Open and Ability Fest. Rhys has been the main projection artist for Now or Never since the festival began at Royal Exhibition Building, where he continues inspiring and engaging audiences with his unique approach to lighting and video art. This first-time collaboration performance by IKSRE & Rhys Newling on Peninsula Hot Springs’ Amphitheatre stage, will be magical feast of ambient music and organic imagery.
