world bathing day 2022 at the hot springs
Written by Amelia
On June 22, people from around the planet are invited to celebrate humanity’s common connection to water through the practice of bathing in recognition of World Bathing Day. The simple act of immersing oneself in water has the power to break down barriers between people of different backgrounds and to bring communities closer together. At this time of change and disruption, bathing reminds us of the interconnections between the wellbeing of our communities and the wellbeing of our planet.
As part of the day's celebratory events, hot springs and musical artists from around the world will come together for Global Sound Bath, a music and cultural showcase event which invites connectivity and togetherness through the power of sound.
To commemorate World Bathing Day 2022, we invite you to participate in the Peninsula Hot Springs celebrations by taking part in our curated onsite program of events, each designed to honour the act of bathing, cleansing and connecting with nature and each other. Guests will be able to embrace the healing powers and cooling effects of body clay, be invigorated by the powers of hot and cold therapy, find their flow with hot springs yoga and warm the soul with our Tulsi tea ceremony workshop.
healing together
Now is a time of reconnection, reuniting and rebirth for our global community.
We are delighted to share this year’s theme ‘Healing Together’.
Let's come together as a global community and unite through our shared connection to water, celebrate and revive our cultural traditions, and share stories of experiencing harmony with nature.
Global Sound Bath Live
In a cultural showcase of sound, The Global Sound Bath celebrates humankind’s connection to music and water, delighting bathers throughout the course of the day as part of our annual World Bathing Day event. In its second year, bathing locations will be invited to collaborate with local musical artists and host performances for their communities.
In recognition of this year's theme, Global Sound Bath presents guests the opportunity to experience diverse musical offerings, encouraging connection that goes beyond the collaborative powers of music and water. This live sound event will allow us to reconnect and heal together through our shared passion for water, music, sound, rhythm and movement.
