A wide and range of food and beverages will be available at Carnivale 2006;  from crepes to kangaroo, from fresh juices
to craft beer

(No BYO food or beverages please)

Nestled among the 42 acres Peninsula Hot Springs site, a Carnivale Food Court will include a classic Aussie barbecue stall, sweet and savoury French crepes, Mexican foods and freshly made King Sushi Japanese.
The Aussie barbecue will feature such favourites as chicken shaslicks, egg and
bacon sandwiches and great hamburgers, all very moderately priced.

In the Bathe Café chef Ros O'Keeffe is working up an indigenous themed
menu for the three days of Carnivale, which will include kangaroo fillet and lemon myrtle. Ros and the Bathe team are also researching barramundi, crocodile and possibly even emu as menu inclusions.

"Everything will be as much local produce as we possibly can, and it'll be fresh and seasonal - that's my focus always with the café menu," Ros said.

For an exotic and indulgent treat, Coco Loco will have a stall featuring their
chocolat "CocoTails". These include "BossaLoca" (Cardamom Chocolat),
Baba Love (Ginger Chocolat), LoveFire (Chili Chocolat), and "CocoParamour"
Vanilla Chocolat.

These beverages are available hot or cold with a choice of dairy or soy milk.

Ros has been selling this range in the Bathe Café recently, with great response: "An exotic chocolate, these are really different - my personal favorite is the spiced orange "Kleopatra's Brew", not a Jaffa type sweet flavour but a really nice, interesting spice blend. They're new to the Bathe Café and already a hit."

A Carnivale Tea House will also be set up on site featuring a range of world teas, including samples of The Living Buddha Rare Herbal Tea from Yunnan Province, China.

Freshly squeezed juices will be available at juice stands throughout Carnivale
2006. You can choose your own blend or go with the Bathe Café recommendations, which include 'Detox'- a cleansing tall glass of fresh beetroot, ginger, carrot, celery and apple juices.

Also highly recommended is  "ReHarmonise" - carrot, pineapple and orange. There's also "ReJuvenate" -  an uplifting blend of apple, pear, celery and kiwi fruit. You could also have a  "Wild Berry" smoothie - a mix of berries, yoghurt, icecream, milk and honey.

Red Hill Brewery will set up a bar at Peninsula Hot Springs, making its range
of quality, handcrafted beers available for Carnivale 2006.

The brewery's year-round range includes Golden Ale, Wheat Beer, and a Scotch Ale. Seasonal beers are also produced.
The Red Hill Brewery is unique as their beers are made from their own hopyard onsite, organically grown. Brewers Dave and Karen Golding use the whole hop flowers, dried in Red Hill, in their brewing process.

They grow five varieties of hops: Hallertauer, Tettnanger, Golding, Willamette and Pride of Ringwood. The fertile soil at Red Hill has meant that the hops are abundant.

Map Coffee will be available at Carnivale 2006, as well as a range of excellent wines from Rye Wine Lounge.
